This week at the Learning Center we will be working on revising your narrative. Those students who came to the Learning Center last week received their narrative from November. This is the piece of writing that was submitted as the November Writing Sample. If you did not ever submit a November Writing Sample, I do not have a piece of writing for you, and you will need to be working on writing a narrative in class this week at the Learning Center. This same piece of writing will also be used with Mrs. Riley's 3-D Book Project for the next few weeks.
PLEASE BRING THIS PIECE OF WRITING WITH YOU TO THE LEARNING CENTER EVERY WEEK FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. I do not have a copy to give you while at the Learning Center, so you need to bring your copy with you each week. Remember, it is one of my rules that you come to class prepared.
For the writing sample this week, you will be rewriting the beginning of your narrative. I will not be collecting your narrative, but I will be scanning it so that I can grade it for the March Writing Sample. This work is to be done in class at the Learning Center. If you cannot be at the Learning Center this week (remember, it is a requirement of you to attend each week), then we will need to make arrangements for you to stay after class the following week to complete the Writing Sample. I will not be sending it home for you to complete at home.
If you are not sure whether or not you submitted a November writing sample, you may check in Jupiter grades to see what your grade was.
Please let me know beforehand if you have any questions regarding the November writing samples or what we are going to be doing this week in class.
Thank you! :)
