Good Morning! :)
I just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page regarding the writing sample for the November Work Samples that are due next week.
Last week, you chose a piece of writing that you wrote in October (although some of you did choose to take on a new topic). I instructed you last week to take that piece of writing and expand it. See www.mrsclaeson.com under "Composition this week" for your grade level to see what the specifications are. I also instructed you to bring in a rough draft this week to the Learning Center so that you could partner with a classmate and edit each other's paper (peer editing). For next week, your final draft is due. Again, look for the parameters of the assignment at www.mrsclaeson.com under your grade level. If I have talked to you separately about these due dates, please go with what you and I have discussed. Otherwise, final drafts are due for everyone next week.
Since it is part of the November Work Sample, you will need to turn it into me, as well as your homeroom teacher, via File Share. I will not accept final papers at school. Last month, I uploaded files for math and writing because it was the first month and I wanted to help make the process easier for you. This month, and all months going forward, you will be required to upload your writing sample (the final draft of your paper) as well as the finished Math Extended Response that we started this week and will finish in class next week. I will send them home with you after our session next week so that you can upload them and share them with me as well as with your homeroom teacher, either Mrs. Riley or Mrs. Cockerham.
It is extremely important that you are here at the LC next week so that you can finish your math extended response. Remember, there are no LC classes the week of Thanksgiving.
I am looking forward to reading your final papers next week!
Kindly,
Mrs. Claeson
